Cleanrooms are engineered rooms that are free from dust and particles that can contaminate critical work areas. These types of rooms are typically seen in work involving microelectronics, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and food preparation. Maintaining the cleanliness in a clean room is typically done using High-Efficiency Particulate Air(HEPA) filters, which are capable of preventing the 99.97% of particles sized at 0.03 microns into the space.
Testing these rooms involves not only measuring airflows, but also ensuring the integrity of the HEPA filter, the particle counts within clean room, and proper cascading room pressurization. Air Systems Balancing is certified to test and certify clean rooms to requested ISO 14464 room classifications and certify fume hoods.
