Annual & Periodic Testing

OSHA requires annual testing of laboratory fume hoods. Air Systems Balancing tests the face velocity at multiple points to determine if the fume hood is working as intended. If it is not, we take the steps necessary to help resolve the problem. 

Air Systems Balancing can test and balance any kind of exhaust system, including: paint spray booths and dust collection systems. 

 Hospital isolation rooms, operating rooms and nuclear imaging rooms should be tested on a scheduled basis to verify the required air changes per hour and room pressurization. Air Systems Balancing performs this work for several hospitals to help protect public health.  

Fire and smoke dampers should be inspected and tested annually to ensure their function for the safety of the inhabitants of a building.
